Dr. S. Krishna Kumar, BVSc., MVSc., Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Specialized in Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. He finished his Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India in 2000. He finished his masters in Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive medicine in 2002 from Madras Veterinary College, Chennai. He did his doctoral research on Bovine viral diarrhea in 2016.

He is interested in Spatial Epidemiology, developing software, and forecasting models. He has been involved in spatial epidemiology research on Peste des Petits Ruminants Malignant Catarrhal fever and Fasciolosis etc., He also developed a model in sheep blue tongue pattern and its transformation.

He has developed a live stock dieases forecasting software and live stock dieases epidemiology survey software. He has developed a forecasting module for Bovine Viral Diarrhea in cattle. He is currently working in Clostridium type A alpha-toxin oriented Jejunal Hemorrhagic syndrome in cattle. He has published 45 national and 6 international articles. He also published five books in reputed publishers.
